A biker's girlfriend night

Amy: Pump petrol?
Amy: What do you mean?
Me : 打油
Me : 车子

Amy: I know but I can't understand
Amy: You mean you go Malaysia just to pump petrol?

I don't know how to explain to my Hong Kong friend the kind of life that I'm in right now.

*

Right after I blogged about the uncomfortable trip to the world of humps, I went with The Man and his friend J last night. We ventured in (and when I mean in, its realllllyyy veeery in) for supper. Somebody please remind me to bring a mask, wear 2 layers of thick shorts and a winter jacket next time.

Chilling me out ttm, that ride.

So we were on this road, tailing behind J and his big big bike, heck knows how the boy memorize the route cos it all looked the same to me. Same same kind of dark. There were no street lamps at some part of the roads, The Man was only riding at 50 but the wind was shrieking in my ears and blading my cheeks.

J wanted to bring us to a place called Lok Lok, closed when we reached. We ended up in somewhere like Newton Food Market, only cheaper and better.

While eavesdropping on the boys' conversation, I realised that J was a ex-client that called in years back, we spoke on the phone about rates and castings before. The world is so small.

There's always a first time

When he didn't turn, I thought he knew where he was going. And he went pass the second turn. Alas, and the third turn.

I looked up, a sign stared back at me. "500 metres/Melaka/Kuala Lumpur".

Smack his head, he's bringing me to KL!? On Itsu!?!?

We went down a really long way till the next U-turn. I thought I was never gonna see you guys again *sniff sniff*

So that was our first ride into Johor Bahru.

3 things I hate about riding in:
1) The humps
2) The humps
3) The humps
.
.
.
.
10) The anyhow-drive cars and bikes

I should seriously stop feeding people. Especially those who gets greedier and greedier cos they know that there would always be someone out there that will willingly let them chew on.

And thats the reason why I'm falling out with alot of people nowadays. That has nothing to do with attached or not attached. It's a "woke up one morning" enlightenment. Believe me, to not give a helping hand is harder than to stay the way it is now.

I'm learning, learning to be selfish.

香港精神

I'll be running through my base again, let you know again.

Let me do another check, if there's anything I'll call you right away.

Erm. Hmmmm. (long pause for 10 seconds) Hmmmm....

Okay (3 seconds pause), okay (3 seconds pause). Just give me some time.

I've no guts to say, "Go somewhere else, I don't have it!"
Honkeys never turn business down, its in the blood.

Let's grow old together

The man is currently undergoing the process of aging.

He's too lazy to walk.
He's not interested in visiting new places.
He's obsessed with old man things like politics, boxing and coins.
His weight is getting out of hand.

What should I do? *headinpalms*

1) Lock him in the gym and not released him till he's 60kg
2) Poke needles into Itsu so he can't ride anymore and force him to be on his feet
3) Bluff him back to Batam so he will appreciate the vibe here when he's back
4) Choke on the cold hard fact that this is how he will be in (or for the worst) years down the road

What say you?

I say I'll feed him fatter, make him older, keep his money in my pocket so he can't run away. Lalalalala.

The equal sign?

If you're a friend, you're family.

But if you're family, it does not necessarily means that you're my friend.

Another and another and another

After three weeks of extended weekends, its finally coming to an end. Vesak's day will be the last public holiday for the next two months, thank goodness. Better stop before it drills the lazinessinto me.

Spent the weekend at The Man's place packing his room with Christy, while he lie on the bed (like a 大爷) watching movie.

And he daringly tweeted this : The girlfriend and sister packing my room. Train your women well.

Don't cry for me sisters, I'm no Leticia. I made him pay back lalalalalala *v*

Seems like the softies are all packed, only left with the hardies like tables chairs wardrobes blah blah blah. I think it will take weeks to pack my room if I'm migrating. The wardrobe will take ages.

Another down

Goodbyes are like a monthly event now. At least I'm sure I won't need to face it again this month....everyone's gone anyways. *sniff*

Suits her, she wanted it to be a quiet departure. No cakes, no feast, no tears, just a big hug and a warm handshake. Goodbye Mon.

You should know

I've had enough.
I've had enough.
I've had enough.
I've had enough.
I've had enough.

And seriously I'm wondering whether you're worth my efforts to cling on to.

A small voice inside me said "No."

You need a cool off day?
I think I need a month or more.

It's not about what you can give.

It's whether I want it or not.

And I don't.
So move on won't you.

Jolin Tsai MYSELF concert 2011

Its her party, really. Jolin was having more fun than the crowd.

Nobody was discussing about Jolin's concert when we stepped out of the Stadium at 10.30pm. Everyone was busy checking twitter and facebook for election results and rushing home to watch live telecast.

Plus. The concert wasn't that nice. Total disappointment.

Don't think it was worth our 200 bucks.
Photobucket

My concert partners, always trying to murder me with her swinging camera and lightsticks.
Photobucket

Prepping our spirit for a great show.
Photobucket

We were quite worried cos the seats weren't all taken by 8pm. Alot of empty chairs.
Photobucket

7.59pm lights dimmed. The crowd roared. They sent a DJ on stage and started spinning.

FOR A WHOLE FIFTEEN MINUTES.
And its not even remix of Jolin's songs. Just club music.

Yawning.
Photobucket

I read on the magazine later that she's challenging a 20 second change per outfit. I don't think it is a challenge suitable for concerts....everytime the spirits up, your singer disappears from the stage. Happens for every song.

Jolin was complaining twice to the audience that we weren't hyper enough and that she was prepped beforehand by other artistes that Singapore audiences are very "elegant". True, half. I assure you it wasn't like during Jay's and SHE's concert.

Show director's at fault for lousy rundown.

Nevertheless, there were great moments.

The water stage.
Photobucket

She was dancing alone in the middle of the fountain, all wet. Shouldn't put it in the last 3 minutes of the concert babe, but I do understand its gonna be a headache to dry the stage if this happens in the middle of the show.

Bless the dancers, they didn't have a single break throughout the concerts. Were there to keep the stage "occupied" when Jolin's gone.
Photobucket

She is really hot in person. I don't know if her nose' fake though.

Why the lightning?

See, I really don't understand.

Having no grudges against The Lightning in my whole life, imagine my OMGISTHATWHATSHAPPENING when The Man started showing me all the videos about the negative sides of them. A sudden blast and boom; bad things starts to flood in from all social media platforms. Threats and injustice acts from the Pioneers, impractical plans of HDB pricing, ridiculous CPF fund allocations dadada....videos tweets posts news images everything were popping out of everywhere from everyone.

I started reading the papers. More reports about their lousy talk during rallies. And the shame of Crescent Girls, our Kate Spade ambassador.

I went to three rallies with The Man, for SDP in the rain (for Danny the Democratic Party bear!), WP in the mud and of course NSP, to see the top woman on the "Iwanamarryhome" list Ms Nicole Seah.

So it seems that this generation hates the Lightning. So it seems that everyone around me are pro-Opp.

Then why?
Why did you guys still vote for PAP?

Results were released. PAP swept all the zones except two, which falls to Workers Party. I seriously jaw-dropped. What went wrong?

Besides the fear that was rooted inside you.
The fear of being blacklisted and unable to get flats.
The fear of being tracked down and locked up.
The fear of losing your government job.

Tell me something else can.

Relationships should be a two way road.

And ours, is always a one way expressway. I'm on full speed. And now I'm the only one left on the track.

Probably should brake now.

Weekend was all packed, lunches, dinners, catch ups....we even met Sarah Wan!

*

A friend told me that she wished to switch jobs, from a full time tutor to a part time insurance agent. She has been working happily for a good 5 years, building up rapport from students and parents and earning more than enough to support herself.

And now she wants to step out of her comfort zone, partly because the boyfriend wants her to and partly because she feels that she needs some interaction with the rest of her world.

I would be jumping with joy if its really for the latter. But seriously, I don't think so. I've got friends like Sandy Koh who IS holding a decent office job, travels to town everyday and scampers back home to shun herself from the outside world. (I can hear her argue back "wherrree got I got friends okaayy")

Its not about the job. Unless you're working in a factory in Tuas from 11am to 2am with no off days, no internet connection and no phone; otherwise you're not spared from any excuse of not having social interaction. That's what the social media platform is for.

Darling, its the character that gets you away from people. Not the job. I can't imagine how you are going to handle your clients in future if you're really going to take up an agent job.

And anyway the core problem actually lies in her boyfriend. In my opinion. (So if Mr Boyfriend is reading this post, your girlfriend wasn't badmouthing you, its MY OPINIONS) I'm not going to go through the crap about "if they love you they should accept the way you are", because some traits of some girlfriends really ought to be corrected.

Its not easy to find a job that is enjoyable to slave for and yet worth enough pennies to survive, and for her case, this seems like the ideal career for her. Don't try to brainwash and strip this away from her.
