Back from class gathering.

I cant believe it, we actually had it in a FOOD COURT? Unbelievable. And whats even more unbelievable...having known each other for years, we have never ever ate together in a food court before. This is the first time.

WOW.

Alrights anyways, I'm still veeeerrry awake, with thanks to that Cafe Mocha in Haagen Daaz, while my body is dozing away, thanks to that Tequila mix beer. That might result in me typing rubbish at this hour, I'll re-read my blog by Monday and remove crapz (if any)....

5 minutes after Zicheng met us. We havent met for months!

Esplanade's lightings are so much nicer than Orchard's! Its a glowing royal shade of blue, beautiful. I'm so sick of the candies sweeties at Orchard, especially that family of awful looking wierdos on top of the ERP. Urghz.

I think Zicheng agrees with me.

Oh btw, we were at Esplanade's Haagen Daaz. I brushed past Carolina without recognizing her!

The pretty and getting prettier girls. I missed out Huimin! Heard that she's using Garnier lightening cream and it really works, her face is bright healthy-white.

The German will shake their heads if they know that you are having Caffe Latte at this hour girl.

More pictures will be posted at Dengli's site (go Influences>Dengli). We had a really short chill at Paulaner (over at Millenia Walk), I like that beer! Taste easier than Budweiser, but it only took me few sips to get heavy-headed. I told Gwen that I dont really see the need in improving on my alcohol, I'm having second thoughts about it now.....

Hmmm. Its actually a wierd combination today, missing out in action for quite some time since the last girl's meet up, and then Zicheng popping out of nowhere, and then so many love stories from here and there. But its all so sweet, to grow up and talk about the past, laugh about stupid crushes, debate about love approaches and even, to talk about Recession. I remembered I did really badly for a history test in my sec days, I wrote crap (really crap) for an answer to the question "Explain the causes and effects of Wall Street Crash.".

I thought Wall Street was a street name. And I thought the street , literally, crashed. So I wrote something like, buildings crashed, cars damaged, many people suffered in the scene...bullshit like that scored me 2 points. 1 point for writing my name and 1 point for "many people suffered", which turns out to be true. What a nice teacher I had.....she called me up to her desk and asked if I studied for my test. It was plain obvious that I didnt even flipped a page of the textbook.

And now. Less than 10 years after that paper, we are facing with the Wall Street crash. Again. Wow. I've heard Recession twice in my life, one in 1997 in Hong Kong (back then I didnt really know what it meant) and then one more time few years back. And its back again, our old friend. I'm calling Sandy every day to check if she's being retrenched, papers said that Citibank are removing employees off their list, erm, basically thats what happening to ALL the banks in the world.

Earlier this month, we are so affected. Our office line didnt ring for the entire day. Freaked me out. Started to call all clients, even those that I didnt really wanted to talk to ever again, to check on the happenings in the industry. Some earned by loaning out studios, many complained that its so quiet, some (might as well) went on holidays. Thanks to Lehman brothers, the big pockets have no $$ now, and therefore have no $$ to advertise, and therefore no jobs for us.

Fortunately, projects start reviving last week, seems like the big pockets decide to get something to assure the public everything's under control, trying to win back the hearts....its a good thing for us *v*

Been down for the Isetan Launch for their Men level on Thursday. Its major-er than we thought!

My client was such a sweetie to entertain us and introduce us to everyone she sees, even our competitor agency -_-. Ha.

They serve great canapes and, though Ana said that its cheap wine, I've never seen her with an empty glass for more than a minute.

Gwen had 6 glasses! (While me and giena sipped orangina....)

The fashion show itself was on the Escalator. Nothing new in Taiwan and Hong Kong, but not all shopping centres in Singapore have as good a layout of flight as Isetan Scotts.
