Heard SHE's latest song "Yue Gui Nu Shen"? Its about the story of Apollo and Daphne.

Daphne was Apollo's first love. It was not by accident, but by the arrows of cupid. One day, Apollo saw Cupid and laughed at him over his bow and arrows (duno what is so funny about that). Cupid, trying to show that he's very powerful, shoot Apollo with a golden arrow and Daphne, daughter of the river god, with a lead arrow. ( And they didnt die! )

And because of that, Apollo fell head over heels for Daphne while Daphne feared Apollo as much as he loved her. Daphne never lacked suitors, but she was more into plants and trees and insects (thats what the story said!). It was like a catching game; whenever Apollo come close, Daphne run. And with her hair flying all over the place, smudged make up, dirtied clothes and stuffs....Apollo still think that Daphne is amazingly attractive. The chasing game lasted for quite a while until Daphne got really tired and shouted for help.

This is what she said. "Help me, Peneus! Open the earth to enclose me, or change my form, which has brought me into this danger!"

**Peneus is her father, the river god. Her smart father didnt change her into a bird, or a plane, or a fish, but transformed her into a Laurel Tree. FOREVER. -_-"" Really roll eyes...the next part describe how Apollo kiss the tree the bark the leaves and stuffs. Anyway, in the end, to keep Daphne by his side forever, he grant her tree forever life and decorate his sword his whatever accessories with her leaves and branches.

So. Thats it. I thought it was a romantic story (cos of the SHE's lyrics). Got quite disappointed. The lyrics is more like singing praises for Daphne's courage to stand true to herself and to reject somebody as wonderful as Apollo's love....but its actually all because of the arrow lah. Whats so amazing huh.
