Have you guys realised how things are over-priced in Singapore, especially in Far East?

There's a chain of Korean shops spreading across level 3 to 4, fyi 3 of them are actually under the same boss. Dresses range from $99.90 up, shoes from $120 up. If you happen to find something below this mark, its either really bad (and look cheap) designs or really really poor quality. They do have really nice accessories though, average priced, but other than that, the price and the staffs are of the same quality -- overly stuck up.

Once I happened to walk pass one of the branches at level 3 (opposite the old Lydia), girls and ladies and aunties queueing to enter the shop. LIKE TAKA'S LV. Gosh. I was going so excited about it, thought that it really had something that special inside. Thought.

Gotta mention another Japanese brand huu-haa shop at level 4, few doors next to the famous tattoo shop. IT SUCKS, I'm telling you that. I love the brands they bring in, from Vivi to Sly to Cecil Mcbee, but HELLO? $400 for a Cecil Mcbee polo? You must be crazy. I got mine, original, with tag, brand new, clean and beautifully displayed for less than one hundred sin dollars...and it came with great service. I've never met any girls with good service at that damn shop.

Once I went with Sandy, she saw a really cute umbrella (cant rem which brand) on display and casually asked for the price. The salesgirl (that tried to ignore us from the minute we stepped in) realised that she had no choice but to reply that its not for sale unless u spend a thousand dollars at their little money-sucking shop.

This is Far East? My good ol' Far East?

I dont believe it man.

I must praise Gwen for her digital imaging skills.

Praise praise praise.

Valentine's day was a great girls hangout. Tired feets, blisters, big burn hole in the wallet, high calories ...... absolutely great. Check out Giena's blog for the pics, on Shoku-street at Heerens. Why havent we discovered it earlier?

My parents are here from next Thurs to 3rd Feb, I'll missing in action as usual.

I'm just happy that somebody and somebody are finally together.

And I'm just happy that somebody and somebody finally broke off.

And....I was happy that somebody left somebody for good, until I realised that it was all bullshit. Well well well. Ahem.

I met up with Wennie on the day before I went back to Hong Kong. We were sharing about problems that all overseas students face - The Return. When you get so used to a place, you start to wonder where do you call "home". And about the prospects, about settling down, about growing up in a place without the loved ones that used to grow up with you. I dont like that feeling, but I cant part this place just yet.

Its not really confusing, but its kinda complicated. When I went home in new year, my mum made the effort to make me feel a sense of belonging at our house. She did offered to sleep in with my dad so that me and my sister can share a room, but she didnt sleep well for the 1st night and I offered to switch. She gladly accept. And all those discussion about getting a new wardrobe, another bed, arrangements of furnitures to make me fit......I feel the effort, I really do.

And btw, my sis had an uglier haircut. The ugliest ever.

Steamboat on the first day back! Thats my sister's ugliest ever hair cut.

Her hair matches with any quirky clothes now. But NOT TEESHIRT AND JEANS.

Rose left Singapore 2 days ago. She's flying back to the arms of her boyfriend and leaving him for another 2 years to Canada. It was quite chaotic at the farewell dinner when she learnt that her return flight to Phil is gonna shoulder-pass her boyfriend's departure flight to Saudi Arabia, we didnt even had the proper say goodbye and teary speech. Me and my aunt ended up gossiping over hot pot.

This is the 1st pic of us taken together...hmmm. Im missing her already.

My sis and I bought her a trench coat as farewell pressie. Vogue la, Rose, Vogue!

I stopped controlling my appetite and watching what I eat since late December. Besides not obeying my 3 NOs (NO DINNER, NO RICE, NO SNACKS), I stopped my jogging routine together as well.

Well done Bonita.

But might as well, you know, thanks to the lifting of the 3 NOs, my appetite returned and I had a wonderful trip back to HK. Crouching on the sofa slurping ice-cream, swallowing har gaos after har gaos, swish-swashing of american fatty beef slices in the hot soup....hello there, my long lost five kilos.

Serve me right.
