The Man and I were billionaires in Batam. We are, we are!
If I were to rate the island, Batam would be a 1.5 out of 5. Pretty boring place, no-good boutiques, departmental stores that doesn't carry alot of brands, eggs (my happy food) were scarce, fried chicken (which happens to be another happy food) from all fastfood outlets were dry, traffic was crazy (we almost died crossing a 5 feet road).....blah blah blah. Oh our hotel is baaad. Golden Virgo. If you've got a choice (which we didnt have), pick Harris Resort.
I said I was going to lodge a complain to the travel agent who got us this package deal, but I havent. It was after all something very last minute, and anyways when I got the deal, I was suspecting that there must be a catch somewhere (cos its really very cheap). I got my answer.
But then again, none of these spoiled our mood for the trip. It was a happy trip *big smile*
