My sis' finally left.......the room feel so big all of a sudden. Its always like that whenever they come and go, feeling lonely *_*.....
Been working OT these few days, rushing for a couple of projects on hand...well it doesnt feel too bad, striving hard to meet deadlines and goals are, u know me, kinda ... erm, fun. Ha. Yeah I know I'm wierd.
The only sad thing is, after putting in so much hard effort, not being appreciated. Its really very disheartening to hear snide remarks about how simple our job is, or that how comfortable we seem to be, sitting @ the desk all day infront of the comp, doing almost nth but making calls.
Well.
Hmm. Nevermind.
Okay then pals...continue from my previous posts....
Taipei trip:The fourth day...
Left the house pretty late. Its only me and my sis today cos Huimin's gonna do babysitting. We are so 没良心...
Really had no plans in mind, starting to be abit homesick (for my sis) and jobsick(thats me). Alighted at 忠孝复兴站 and started walking walking walking....to Breeze Centre. Couldnt post the pics yet cos its with Huimin.
Breeze Centre is very similar to Paragon but more high class, more available international brands, less aunties. Its for those 上流小姐们 and tai-tais. There's a medium-sized Kinokuniya (pretty much the same like Liang Court's) and a interesting one-stand shop called Plaza (just opposite Muji.)
Many imported Japan's cosmetics stuffs available there, really interesting....they have this mask (for face slimming purpose), so-called One day Tatoo eyeliner (which I bought for NT$420..not bad), thigh slimming massager, lots of different types of fake eye lashes....check it out la.
Her feets' breaking, so are mine. We had a really long walk to breeze Center...
No, we weren't lost. I'm just checking for the shortest distance thats all. *Ahem*
Its been drizzling everytime we go out...its a miracle none of us fall sick during the trip (we're usually lazy to take out the umbrella)
Kept wandering around the same area....东区. Starving and couldnt decide what to eat!
In the midst of searching for a way to 忠孝东路, we found 阿忠面线的分店. Its like a ray of light in the end of the tunnel....
Raindrops is falling on my head...lalalala....there's always someone around the corner in Taipei. Its a neverlonelycity.
Come on come on, we're reaching soon! (its here where we met 陈柏霖!His big eyes...omg)
And then we found....东区粉圆。
Ahhhhh....Um. *Slurpz* Hmmm....doesnt taste as nice as I remember.
And of course, how could I possibly forget, the wonderful 水煎包 that I've been dreaming for 2 years? Just next to 东区粉圆。 Must eat! (NT$10 each only)
Whereever we go ~ people want to know ~
And then....we begin our main dish of the day ---- shopping!
东区 is famous for all those little little shops, as the rent is really cheap (or so the guide book says), many youngsters start their business here. Saved up on the rent, they throw in more money on the decors and designs of their shops. I've seen little ponds at their doorsteps, I've seen mini balcony too (on ground level?), and rocky steps inside the shop, funny displays and stuffs.....its really cool.
And above all, the prices are just so-so only. *squeals with delight*
2% is a Hong Kong brand. Back there, the sales are really attentive and pushy towards their customers. Here, the sales is practically.....dozing off behind the cashier.
Spot my sis.
The 烤肉店 that 小猪 has been talking about. Read the sign! If you kiss for 10 secs, u get a plate of lard...i mean, pork....free!
This reminds me of the rock monster in Mario land....

Taipei Trip....Third Day
终於难得的好天气!
The blood sucker....
Happpie! We're on our way to 淡水......my favourite place in Taipei *v*
Finally here...omg the long-missed seaview. Big Smile!
Goodbye to the rain....say hi to Mr.Damnhot Sun. Well, u cant have the best of everything....
Miisssttter Donnuuut. Fresh from the oven....ooooh.
The classic way to take pic with a donut.
The friendly King Kong and the not so friendly mini king kong.
Yiiiiahhhhhh.
KK and the cutie Jane.
Bought this @ 7-11....Dor! Look! U cant get this in Singapore! *taste good...slurpz*
淡水老街有很多店没开。。。。。。。guess we're there too early + its not really a tourism season + weekday...
Huimin bought this supposedly 瘦脸按摩器,10 mins a day to burn the fats from your face.....sounds abit too 夸张 but hmmm, when the wheels starts moving on my meaty face it feels like its for real!
Too many shops @ 淡水 not opened. Very very disappointing cos I was having really high hope to have loads of fun over there. -_-... Plus, the sun was really scorchy...I even had minor sun burn! Totally madness...hours ago it was raining cats and dogs u know.
"Do do do do....next stop --- 剑潭站"
We are at 士林夜市!
@ 士林夜市's 元元唱片. The salesgirl actually brought her dog to work....name is Mua Chee, u know, those that we buy for $1 a packet type? Its so damn cute, those stubby legs, the stupid way it moves....Huimin and Divina loves it.
I cant see his eyes!!!??
This guy turned to stare at me right after I took this pic cos I didnt off my cam-fone "kacha" sound. In the first place, I wasnt taking a pic of him, I swear!
Its this girl that I was interested at...hmph.
好朋友凉面 is the only Taiwanese Soba stall we patronize @ Shilin. Strongly recommended by Huimin's 姐夫, its a family business run by mainly their mom and her pretty daughters... Its cold ramen mixed with sesame oil, peanut sauce n some distinguish special formulated sauce with shredded cucumber and another idunowhat ingredients....the miso soup is sodamnnice.
I didnt take the pic cos it look disgusting on pics.
I see his ads everywhere! He must be earning loads.........
My fav. game in Taiwan....its only NT$10 per game! My highest score was 224...muahahaha.
Another form of exercise!
Read this. Almost every arcade have these bball machines, and almost every street have at least 2 of these arcades. Its really popular back there...娱乐百分百 even specially feature it as a compy every week.
Another crazy game....baseball fans. U get to win as fabulous as TV sets home.
Another part of Shilin that we usually left out....its actually right infront of the mrt but somehow.....yeah. Ha.
The stall where Show learnt his 蚵仔煎 is here...we tried it, not bad.
Huimin said that this was featured on TV. We're just another bunch of blindly-follow-what-tv-says tourists.
Nvm, its cheap anyway. Only NT$40(S$2)!
Hardly can finish the Peanut Bean Ice 花生大豆冰....its enormous!

Supposed to post this in the travelling blog, but kinda lazy to do the entire transfer......so read it here for the moment k.
Its a pretty interesting trip this time round, although we didnt visit too many places (tight budget...hmph) and my appetite somehow went on vacation....but nonetheless, I still had loads of fun. Especially the shopping, ah!
First day
Very chaotic start for a trip...my dad's flight was 2 hours after ours, so we went to the airport tgt. After I've checked in, we realised that he actually brought the wrong passport, the expired Singapore passport instead of the new China passport (both same colour). In a flurry, he and my mum rushed home to look for the right passport.
Still couldnt find it when I boarded the plane....feeling abit guilty to leave them behind. Kinda dampened our excitement....fortunately, he managed to find the right passport in time (its actually in his luggage all this while) to board his plane.
Okay, enough of the rubbish....here goes the pix!
Welcome to Taipei!
2nd thing to dampen our spirits......all the $1000 dollar notes I got are expired!
Taipei government just changed their currency, all thousand and five hundred notes shall be exchanged @ a specific bank before 31st July. I reached Taipei on 7th Aug. Damn.
Coach from airport to Grand Hyatt Hotel...only NT$145. An hour trip (cos traffic jam).
Stunned. Its raining. Typhoon on our very first night. (Huimin's sis, Carol said we brought the rain....huimin had sun-burn two days before we arrived...)
The proof ----- Huimin's sun burn mark.
Second Day
Its raining, man! Helluluva....
Its not my first trip to Taipei, but I'm still not used to their big big biiiiiig mrt stations....
Starting to drizzle when we stepped out...
@ Raku. Charcoal-stove bbq & steamboat.....lookatthefood.
Free flow and free flow and free flow of haagen daaz & Meiji ice cream!
-some other pics which are from Huimin's cam I'll post in newstation-
First stop after our heavy meal.....五分埔!
They're stocking up A/W 07 stuffs now, clearing away all the S/S 07 stuffs.....almost every shop are stacking their sales item outside their shop. Selling @ NT$100 - 390.
Happie girl....she overspent! Tsk tsk tsk....
I bought this for Hj......the salesgirl here very nice. (and pretty)
We bought the most from this shop....not only their clothes are nice, their sales are very attentive and helpful, not to mention, gave us so much discount that their casheir had to fork out the outstanding amount from his own pocket..........
Strongly recommended, get the address of this shop from me if you're interested. They have a variety of cutie sweet dresses, layered tops, basic camisoles blah blah blah.....all of fine quality. We even went back again on the 2nd last day to get some more stuffs. =)
Which is probably why we ended up like that....
Oh.my.gosh.
"No! No! Take it away! It hurts!"
